2013 Plein Air Easton! Pastel Artist Tips

Here's a quick time lapsed video on my painting process created while I was competing in Plein Air Easton!. I'll post my recap once I compile my photos and rest up a bit. But for now, enjoy!

Would love to hear more about Easton! They do a REALLY good job of using social media to get people interested in what they are doing. I wish more events did as much as they do. Telluride is decent with that, but I feel like the folks at Easton do it the best.

Hi Sergio,
The Avalon Foundation has it nailed in every aspect of fund raising. First and foremost they have a huge volunteer poolwho strongly believe in the success of the event and are selected based on their skill set. They have teams of volunteers who are trained and work like a well oild machine. Those who work on the social media work tirelessly on the event and have a hotline for artists to call where the are painting. I called in to let them know where Inwas and in a few minutes the video team was out on location (just blocks down from the headquarters) the volunteers all have fun too that makes it enjoyable for all. Easton also has a huge collector base and they fold them into the event as well by having artist paint outs on their estates. This brings interest wihin the community. More to share but fingers getting tired. Will call you Sergio on this. Brenda

Thanks Debbie!
So good to hear from you. It was an amazing event and was such hard work dealing with the humidity and length of the event. Thanks for your comments, I do appreciate it.

Thanks Precious,
It was fun to paint for the videographer, who was a great distraction from the heat and humidity. :)
